I did a lot of traveling with my Mom in middle school and high school, which took me to places like New York, California (many cities) Florida, Oregon, Canada and even London. But a state I haven’t done much traveling in is my own state, Texas.
Kyle and I left for Austin (which is in Central TX and the state capitol) Sunday morning at 5:30AM, It takes about 3 1/2 to 4 hours to get there. We drove directly to Lake Travis to spend the day hiking, swimming and eating local food (no we didn’t go to Hippie Hollow, the clothing optional beach!) It was so beautiful and makes our Dallas lakes seem so wimpy.
When I saw this silver bullet RV thing with a rotating cupcake on top, I had to stop. I mean hiking onbig rocks makes one tired which makes one need calories, right? Even if they do come from two big cupcakes!!
We bought one Carrot Cake cupcake and one Standard (vanilla cake, chocolate frosting) cupcake.
They toppled over a few times on the way to the hotel but still looked and tasted lovely! The carrot cake cupcake had real shreds of carrot in the cake (which I love) and the frosting was so soft and creamy. The standard cupcake had basic and comforting vanilla cake with a delicious and somewhat tangy chocolate buttercream. If ever in Austin, check out Hey Cupcake!
