When I think of Sam’s Club, I think of three things:

1. Samples, anyone who has ever gone to Sam’s Club knows that you can eat a full meals worth of samples especially on the weekend!

2. Pizza with Onions, I know… it sounds weird. Anytime Kyle and I go to Sam’s he gets a piece of pizza and there is a machine that grates onions on top. It’s not a trip to Sam’s without a piece of pizza and a Coke.

3. Most importantly, I think Value. You can buy your food in bulk (or purchase electronics, tires, furniture, you name it!) and it is always a better deal than say Wal Mart, Best Buy or your neighborhood grocery store.

From August 15th through September 4th, you can get more Box Tops coupons on your favorite back to school brands at Sam’s Club and maximize your earnings for your school. Click here for Box Tops participating brands and start earning money for your local school! As you can see, purchasing Cheerios gets you box tops. All you have to do is cut the label off the box and send it in. Easy Peasy!

Courtesy of Sam’s Club and Box Tops for Education, I am providing one of my readers a 25$ gift card to Sam’s Club! Oh wait, you aren’t Sam’s Club member? Thats OK because I am also giving away (5) one-day passes!

So how do you enter?

Look through my recipes from the past few months (using the tags column to make it easier) and leave me a comment (on this post) telling me which of my recipes you would like to make. Also in your comment tell me if you are a Sam’s Club member or not (so that if you win the gift card and you are not a member, you will also get one of the day passes!)

Oh and if you like my recipes, become a follower of mine!
just sayin’!

Butterscotch ‘Banana Nut Cheerio’ Treats
yield: one 13×9 inch pan

2 TBS Butter
1 bag (10.5oz) Mini Marshmallows
1 TBS Peanut Butter, creamy or crunchy
6 cups Banana Cheerios
1 cup Butterscotch Chips

1. Spray a 9×13 inch pan with cooking spray.
2. Melt butter in a microwave safe bowl. Mix in peanut butter and marshmallows and microwave for 1 and a half minutes, stirring every 30 seconds, until creamy and smooth.
3. Add cheerios to the bowl and coat. Add the butterscotch chips and mix in. Press into a 9×13 inch pan and cool one hour until set. (I recommend spraying the back of a spatula with cooking spray and pressing down the treats, they are a bit sticky if you do it by hand!) Store loosely covered.

These are delicious! Instead of a rice crispies treat how about a cheerio treat? The banana flavor from the cereal stays strong, even after being coated in creamy marshmallows and peanut butter. The cheerios are crispy while the butterscotch is creamy and mingles well with the peanut butter.

The contest ends Sunday August 30th at 10pm (central standard time). Good luck! (Oh and sorry to my international readers, this contest is open to those who live near a Sam’s Club.) CONTEST HAS ENDED

Great idea Natalie – sorry I can't enter… (oh and I WISH we could get that flavour Cheerios here in Canada…)

I'm a happy Costco member, so I don't need to enter the contest.

However, I would TOTALLY make these Butterscotch treats. I have a preschool potluck tonight and I'm seriously rethinking what I was going to bring.

But I wonder if any of these would actually make it to the classroom!

Let's see, I have to choose just one of your recipes? ;) I love your watermelon sorbet (made it a few weeks back) and your blueberry, hatch chile, and pineapple salsa was so good, I forwarded your recipe on to a friend of mine!
These cheerios bars look so yummy too.
I'm not a Sam's member (have been before, but I always end up spending MORE money there cause I buy so much stuff! It's a fun place to shop!) but I'd love to have the chance to go again!

Dear Natalie I hope you don't mind, but I stumbled across your blog last night and completely drooled allll over my laptop.
I've featured some of your pictures (with credit to you of course and a link to your site) on my own blog, just because they're that damned tasty looking.

If this bothers you in the least please let me know so I can take down the post.
    Thanks a lot!

You have a lot of amazing recipes, but the two that are calling to me the most are the frozen lemonade pie and the cream cheese loafs. I am not a Sam's Club member, but I have one not that far from me.

Well, I did make these (kinda, sorta, not really – a lot of changes, lol) BUT more importantly I used this recipe to spring one of my own: http://daninoms.blogspot.com/2009/09/campus-cooking-peanut-butter-chocolate.html

    Peanut butter chocolate popcorn bites.

Thanks so much for posting this!! Without it I wouldn't have ever come up with my new fave recipe =)
