Just went back and re-read the recipe and clarification given to Sarah. I should have mixed the batter into each of the 3 separate layers. Yikes! I should be happy it came out even as good as it did.

Would like to have known which layers to place after the batter. I ended with the chocolate but wish I had ended with the pumpkin/peanut butter. I would also recommend using a little bigger pan as they come out quite thick. I think the idea of these was good but the end result didn't live up to my expectations.

I made these for a friends birthday yesterday and they were fabulous!!! We had them during school, and one of my friends who doesn't even like pumpkin loved these! Maybe its because I ate them without much time/analyzing, because thy were so delicious, but I didn't notice a bold stand-out flavor between the choc, pb, and pump-which is definitely not a bad thing. It just tasted like yummy, rich, autumny, chocolatey goodness!

You mix the batter into the three different flavors (PB, pumpkin, chocolate). Thanks!

Do you mix the flour batter into the 3 mixtures (pb, pumpkin, and chocolate) or do you keep it separate from them?
