    This is my new favorite Lemonade recipe. It’s so good and tastes like it is full of sugar and sunshine. This really isn’t a recipe as it involves 3 ingredients, but more or less introducing you to one of my new favorite sugar replacements. I could drink 10 glasses a day in the summer of fresh, sweet lemonade, so this version is perfect for me as it has no calories.

    Do not adjust your monitors, you are on the right food blog. That’s right, this post is vegan. The blog that is home of the candy bar cheesecake has gone vegan and healthy. Well, for one post at least. You see, I have been feeling kind of uninspired in the kitchen lately. Sure, there are so many things I want to make but then that’s it. I look at the recipe, I bake it, I eat it, I photograph it, I eat it, I blog about it while eating it, then that’s it (well, then we finish eating it).

    I think what I have been missing is the feeling of being challenged. Where you go in the kitchen and rather than easily go through the motions, you read the recipe instructions and say ‘Wait, this actually works?’ or ‘What in the world am I cooking?’ And if there is one thing I know absolutly nothing about, it’s vegan baking.     I know I know, you are probably thinking “iced coffee? pour ice over coffee, who needs instructions” but its just a tad more difficult than that.

    I work (very part-time) in one of the most recognizable buildings in Dallas, Reunion Tower. The ball is 3 levels, the bottom is an observation level and can be rented for events, as well as the middle level. The top floor is the restaurant. And yes, it does rotate inside and is not as fun as it sounds (the kitchen doesn’t, just the dining room, so every time you leave the kitchen you are in a different spot in the dining room than the previous time).     I drink a smoothie every morning. It gets my day started off right, in more ways than one. It makes me feel good after I drink it and I don’t get the shakes like coffee would give me. I used to drink coffee for breakfast, but realized I don’t want to be addicted to coffee anymore. Yes, addicted. If you have to have it to be able to function, and get a headache if you don’t have it, well that sounds like an addiction.

    It also starts my morning off healthy, which makes it easier to make healthier choices during the day. If you use frozen fruit, smoothies are pretty cheap to make. I have a Vitamix (which is the best blender EVER) so frozen fruit is no problem. Read More | Comments
